Hi there. My name is Lisa Wood, and I am the founder of Strategic Grant Solutions. Before becoming a grant writer, I spent over 20 years working in tech start-ups, which left me feeling burnt out and searching for a more meaningful path. As COVID-19 began to impact the world, I realized grant writing would be a great way to blend my skills with my desire to impact society positively.

I was fortunate to have a family member, Bob Wood, who was a seasoned grant writer. Despite being retired from the University of North Florida as the Dean of Continuing Education, he still worked hard, raising funds for local nonprofits. I joined Bob in 2020, and he shared his business, guidance, mentorship, and friendship with me. We loved working together.

Bob died suddenly, and I was left to navigate our shared commitments alone. I honored his legacy by fulfilling our client and contractor obligations. At the start of 2024, I established my own venture, Strategic Grant Solutions.
